Hi my name is Catesby its said like Kates+bee (its cool if you want to call me cat, most people do), I doubt I know any of you, but I am very excited to meet you all! This is my third summer in the triangle, I am only here during the summer and I go to school in Salt Lake City, Utah. The only people that I know here are on the Marlins of Raleigh swim team, I am a swimmer so when you see me I most likely will have wet hair and smell like chlorine (sorry!). This will be my second ever theatrical performance, I only really got into theater last year. I am into all kinds of art but I am mainly a painter. I am super interested in set, costume, and makeup design so if you know anything about that let me know!

Also I have been waiting for someone to post, you really have no idea how excited I am for the opportunity to make more friends, I know that sounds cheesy but I need more friends here!!!!
As far as a movie we should watch, well I would love to see Inception and The Lost City of Atlantis! But the second one is mostly because I love that movie, but I also think that since it is animated it shows the use of your voice to project emotion.

Nice! I have a friend who's really into vocal performance. I'm always shocked by the names I find in the credits at the end of Disney movies, etc., even though I really shouldn't be. I find it so cool that you paint-- you do realize now everyone will want to see one of your paintings. It's interesting you should mention set design. I should show you some pictures of last years performance. Easily one of the most inventive sets I've ever come across, with the limited resources that we had.

ReplyDeleteI am an ex-painter...would love your help with the floor-treatment if you can stay after towards the end to paint. Also, I haven't seen pics of last year's set. I'd love to see them, too (if Ian doesn't have any)
